- Seems that Apple is really having a bad time with more resignations and
- a Multi-Million dollar loss.
-
- I understand that they are considering aiming at the higher-end Mac market
- and leaving the entry level machines to stream-line their company again.
- The low-end machines are less profitable, but this could be Amigas ace
- in the hole. I don't believe this problem with Apple will be long term,
- but if it lasts for 4 to 6 months, it could benefit the Amiga.
-
- When the March Amiga comes out with the Netster/Surfer bundle and the
- Mac Amiga comes along about the same time, these systems could be offered
- toward people interested in a low-end Mac, or Mac-type system. This could
- get some new blood in the Amiga community, and fill a gap that the Macs
- may not have available if they do drop most if not all their low-end
- systems to concentrate on better profiting systems.
-
- All in all, I do hope that Macs problems will be sorted out sooner than
- later, and I also hope that while they are doing this that the Amiga
- platform can fill what they choose not to support and produce for a
- period of time. "I don't do windows."
